The outdoor area at Dilhorne Primary School was already packed with activities – now it has an outdoor gym as well!
With stunning views across the Staffordshire Moorlands, children have a farm on site as well as outdoor classroom and physical activity area.
These facilities have now received a boost with the addition of a Sunshine Gym.
With our children’s range of equipment built for users under 4’ 7” tall, the outdoor gym is perfect for encouraging pupils to take up healthy habits which they can continue into adulthood.
Our design includes a Double Health Walker which two children can use independently at the same time.
With a Double Slalom Skier, the movements supported by both pieces of equipment are designed to get the heart rate up as well as show youngsters that exercise can be fun.
The Children’s Horse Rider copies the movements of riding a horse, working the lower body as the user pushes and pulls with their legs.
A Children’s Arm and Pedal Bike was also selected to feature in the outdoor gym.
This offers an opportunity for users to work out their upper body and arms as well as their lower body.
The equipment was installed by our teams on part of the school’s grassed area, with matting laid around the equipment to protect the natural surface from wear and tear.
