An enquiry came in from Rowledge C Of E School as they were looking to install new outdoor gym equipment. They had an 20m x 6m area that they were looking to fill with fun and new fitness equipment that the children could use all year round.
The school has a strong commitment to promoting outdoor activities for children having recently secured four grants to support its community gardening project through the Royal Horticultural Society's (RHS) Connected Communities Fund.
The initial site visit revealed that the designated area for the outdoor gym equipment installation was a muddy grassed area, with an existing Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) goal already in place. Additionally, a raised manhole cover was present on the site and the site had a slight incline.
Sunshine Gym provided the client with several quotations, considering the limitations, each featuring different layouts and pieces of equipment suitable for their available space. We also offered a list of nearby projects we had successfully completed, allowing the client to reach out and visit to see the superior quality of our products and meticulous installation.
The school decided on six pieces of equipment from our children’s range, including a Double Slalom Skier, a Horse Rider, a Double Health Walker, an Arm & Pedal Bicycle, a Sky Stepper and a Rower.
Artificial grass was installed across the entire area underneath, complete with a MOT stone subbase and geotextile membrane, giving the area a modern look.
