Since we have had the Outdoor Gym equipment installed the students have continuously used them and have found that their fitness has improved dramatically as it is something that they all enjoy and get so much benefit out of it. Speaking to some of the students who use it both for breaks, activities in the evening as we are a residential school and also their PE Lessons they have said that they know that it is doing them good and have a lot of fun at the same time. The PE teacher has said that he can see from his assessments he does that the children are gradually losing weight, fitness has improved and to see them smiling when using the equipment is really great to see. The students have this equipment out on the front break area and now the lower school students would like something similar for them to have at breaks. They do use it during PE and evening activities but would really like it out the back.
