An inclusive outdoor gym area has been provided for residents after community leaders responded to requests from the public.
A meeting of Llandysilio Community Council heard from residents keen to see an area of Foxen Manor Playing Field developed for sport and recreation.
The popular location, in the village of Four Crosses, near Powys, was already home to a play area and football club.
Our teams travelled to the site to meet councillors and came up with an outdoor gym design that could be delivered on time and in budget.
Residents were involved in suggesting the type of equipment that would be beneficial to the site.
The final installation includes a Double Health Walker and Double Slalom Skier. Along with a Sky Stepper, similar to an outdoor treadmill, these pieces of equipment offer a fun and varied cardiovascular workout.
An outdoor Rower is also available along with an Arm and Pedal Bike with wheelchair access.
A Combi Pull Down Challenger and Power Push offers the opportunity to include strength training in an outdoor gym session.
Situated adjacent to the play area, the Foxen Manor Sunshine Gym was officially opened with a ceremony in April 2022.
Further improvements being considered for the site also include a skate park.
